The story behind our videos.

Hi, I’m Kerry — the mum behind Butterfly Social Skills.

My journey started when my son Ben, now 20 and living with Autism, left school.
As Ben’s routine changed, so did his support. I quickly realised there were no simple, engaging resources that could teach him basic life skills in a way he could really understand.

That’s why I created Butterfly Social Skills — short, animated videos that explain everyday skills clearly, gently, and with plenty of repetition.

From taking the bus to managing money, from social conversations to personal hygiene — every video is built with people like Ben in mind. And it works. Ben now has a job, catches public transport by himself, and is living life to the fullest.

We’re so excited to release a full library of animated videos for adults with Autism and Intellectual Disability — covering job skills, personal hygiene, independent living, and more.
