Teaching students with learning difficulties

Our everyday life relies heavily on social skills as they assist us in effectively communicating with others and living a happy and productive life. Our social skills enable us to showcase our abilities and achieve our goals. Individuals with intellectual disability, Autism and cognitive impairment may encounter significant difficulties honing these skills which can result in their abilities going undiscovered. For them social skills training serves as a essential strategy to allow them to flourish and reach their potential.

We believe that teaching these skills during school years will greatly benefit individuals moving into adulthood.

Despite the challenges that may exist in a learning setting, students with intellectual disabilities are more than capable of learning and applying new knowledge. They may just take a little longer or require a different approach. 

We use easy concepts, clear language and engaging imagery in addition to regular recaps to ensure that the lesson has been absorbed. 

Each video includes discussion notes for the teacher and a worksheet for the student.
